WEBINAR RECORDING - A Journey through Devon and Cornwall
with Daniela Celli held on Saturday, March 28th, from 09:30 to 11:30 AM
The link to watch the recording will be sent within 24 hours of purchase.
No materials included.
Located in the far southwest of England, the counties of Devon and Cornwall are lands of extraordinary landscapes and romantic atmospheres: wind-swept cliffs, emerald coves, mysterious moorlands, and fishing villages that seem straight out of a novel. It's no coincidence that some of the most beloved stories in English literature were born here. Agatha Christie lived and wrote in these lands, and Daphne du Maurier set unforgettable novels among the cliffs and moors of Cornwall.
During the webinar, we will travel through an itinerary that is both literary and scenic, discovering the authentic soul of this extraordinary corner of England. Map in hand, we will explore together the most iconic places, from the Atlantic cliffs to colorful small ports, from moors to subtropical gardens; we will read excerpts from novels set in these counties and discover curiosities, traditions, local flavors, and of course, the most charming places to stay to truly feel like you're inside an English story.
Topics on the agenda:
- Practical pre-departure information
- How to get there and how to get around
- Detailed one-week itinerary, step by step.
- Local flavors: cream tea, pasties, and must-try sweets
- Literary insights (from Agatha Christie to Daphne du Maurier)
- Books to bring along
- Walking trails along the coast and in the moors
The webinar is led by Daniela Celli
