Workshop led by Debora Lambruschini.
"A critic who takes his job seriously must always place himself at the reader's disinterested service, thus also warning them about bad books, especially those whose success is assured, guided, or remote-controlled." This was said by Grazia Cherchi, literary critic and editor. A lesson that still holds true today.
But what does the work of a literary critic involve, and why does it concern us as readers? What is a literary review, and how do you write it? How do you read critically, and why is it important to learn how to do so, even if you don't write?
In this workshop, Debora Lambruschini (literary critic, literature and writing teacher, cultural event organizer, and editor) will take us behind the scenes of literary criticism and text editing to learn the tools needed to write a literary review and how to read critically.
We will follow the steps that lead from critical reading of texts to the production of a review, closely observing various examples and discussing useful tools, methodology, and critical discourse.
Participants will test themselves by producing a review of the selected text, which will be analyzed during the lesson:
The course is aimed at readers, those who already have writing experience or are beginners, those who write or those who wish to approach the publishing world.

The workshop is organized in collaboration with Debora Lambruschini : editor, cultural events organizer, content creator and press office, Debora is a literature teacher, specializing in English and North American culture.
She collaborates with magazines including criticaletteraria.org and osservatoriocattedrale.com , and she created and coordinates an online reading group and a film club, as well as an in-person reading group. She cultivates words, both her own and those of others, through targeted writing and reading projects. And, needless to say, she has a passion for stationery and can't live without a book journal to track the readings, interviews, inspiration, and research that inform her editorial work.
We love to travel the world and bring home its beauty, stories, and values.
