Correspondence Set - Flowers

This mail order set is made in the Netherlands using only FSC certified European materials.

Each box contains:

• 10 sheets of 4 different designs (printed on one side and blank on the other), for a total of 40 sheets of A5 writing paper (150x210 mm)
• 20 matching envelopes (10 x 2 designs)
• 8 greeting cards (2 x 4 designs)
• 30 assorted stickers and labels.

Sheets, envelopes and stickers can be used in combination or independently. The sheets are of excellent quality and also look beautiful when framed.

Taken from historic horticultural albums, the charming floral images in this set were originally created using two printing techniques: engraving and chromolithography (color lithographic printing art).
The engraving widely used in the 15th-18th centuries made it possible to obtain very clear images and particularly fine details, which were often colored by hand, creating truly unique works.
The 19th century brought about the invention and refinement of chromolithography which facilitated the reproduction of high-quality, vibrant colors. This remained the main color printing technique until the 1930s.
