The Blackwing Vol. 710 is a tribute to Jerry Garcia, American musician and artist, one of the greatest guitarists of all time, vocalist and guitarist for the Grateful Dead in the sixties. A tribute to a master of improvisation that is also an invitation to continuous renewal – through detours, changes, returns, new paths, far from those already trodden.

The Blackwing Volume 710 features a drawing by Jerry Garcia, Curves & Lines, on its barrel. It has a black ferrule, green eraser, and SOFT graphite, like the iconic Matte, perfect for both writing music and drawing.

Although best known as the guitarist and singer for the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia was much more than a musician, he explored painting and visual arts, and just as when he played the guitar, his sketches and paintings seem to wander across the canvas, taking unexpected turns before completely changing form. His home at 710 Ashbury Street was a symbol of 1960s San Francisco.
