The Blackwing Vol. 292 is a tribute to the art of Keith Haring.

The new Volume 292 pencil features Haring's iconic dancing figures and a balanced graphite, like the classic Pearl.

Keith Haring was one of the most renowned young artists, directors, and performers whose work engaged with the urban street culture of the 1980s.
Deeply connected to street art, Haring drew inspiration for his work from the graffiti covering subway cars and New York walls, starting to draw with white chalk on the black paper used to cover empty billboards.

As early as 1980, Haring began exhibiting in galleries and museums worldwide, but he continued to participate in public projects, creating murals, sculptures, and paintings to benefit hospitals, disadvantaged children's groups, and various charities.
When he opened his Pop Shop at 292 Lafayette Street, he conceived it as a physical extension of his work, a place where everyone was welcome to experience his art. He believed in using commercial projects like the Pop Shop to reach people who otherwise would never encounter his message, a legacy that lives on today in this box of pencils.
